Privacy
Ollie is a math tutor for children ages 8 to 14. A parent creates the family account and adds each child. Ollie asks questions while the child works. It does not hand over the answer.
Ollie is offered from California to families in the United States. The parent is the person who can ask about a child's information. Write to ollie-support@alpacalabs.xyz.
What a parent gives
An email address, and either a password or a Google sign-in.
What a child gives
The nickname and avatar the child picks. The email address and password the parent sets for that child. The child's chats with Ollie, drawings on the whiteboard, and photos of problems they upload. Progress: coins, streak, badges, and which problems were solved or opened.
Voice
If a child uses the microphone, the recording stays in the browser. Ollie stores the words as ordinary text, not the recording. The browser's own speech service may process the audio.
Why
To run the tutor, save the child's work, let a parent assign a set of problems, and keep the account secure. Ollie does not show ads. Ollie does not sell personal information.
Who else receives it
- Supabase stores accounts, the database, and uploaded files.
- Vercel hosts the app.
- Google receives the parent's sign-in only if the parent chooses Google.
- OpenRouter runs the tutor. A child's message, drawing, or uploaded photo is sent to OpenRouter to produce the reply. The default model tier may use those prompts and replies to train its models.
How long
Ollie keeps this information while the family account is open. There is no delete button in the app. A parent can email ollie-support@alpacalabs.xyz to review or delete a child's information.
Cookies
Ollie uses a sign-in cookie so the family stays signed in. There are no advertising cookies.
